Max is 85 years old and a gifted flight instructor, with more than 20,000 hours flying. Everything that could possibly go wrong in a plane is familiar to him and available in memorable narratives. (A backward gas cap is a much bigger problem than you might think.)
Teaching hundreds of students to fly in every plane, geography and condition imaginable, Max remains calm and collected at all times. From a wobbly first time cross wind landing, to a student coming up short on fuel for a night landing at a large, unfamiliar airport, Max can talk his students through anything and build trust in the process. He creates room for processing and problem solving, knowing that some parts of flying are not intuitive and must be learned with experience.
